I love working with millennials. I’m at the border of the generation, but I am so into technology and new things that I can connect to with them very well in that level at least.
Waze
I also love googling everything and looking for reviews before I buy something or go somewhere. I realized when working with my millennial clients that some of the new developments can’t be found on your regular maps. Google and other map services don’t update their information fast enough, so they all call me to ask “where is that place?” I use this one app that I absolutely love, I’ve been using it for a couple of years now and me and my husband are hooked on it. We have traveled to other countries and cities and have found it extremely useful. It’s called “Waze“, and one of the reasons I love it is because it is a social community built around traffic; users log on and you can see what is happening around you. It will always give you 3 routs to choose from. The coolest thing is that is will find most places even if they are new, because people are driving on those roads before the actual maps come out. You can find addresses that you won’t find in Google maps.
Yelp
Another app that I have found super useful and I am not sure if people are using it or not but I have tried to see how many of my 950 Facebook friends actively use it and I was so sad to see that only 5 of them did! Yelp has been my lifesaver in so many ways, so many times. Regardless of where I am, a brand new city, area or country, I can use my app to tell me what is around me– restaurants, businesses, etc., and the best part of it is that it has reviews integrated into it. I can see a restaurant, their menu, pictures of the place and food and their reviews and prices. So convenient when you are in a place you don’t know.
Try them for yourself
I hope that you at least play with theses two apps to see if they work for you. You can find all your friends on both and share tips. I am not an expert on apps by any means but I do think these two deserve a place on your phone.
